The
Flint Junior Generals Hockey Team is owned by Gale and Kelly Cronk.
The program began in the 1999/2000 season as a Junior B sanctioned team. Recently
the Central States Hockey League (CSHL) has moved to the Junior A Tier
III level. The goal of the team is to provided the junior hockey
experience for those player's looking to move to the next level, and who
desired to advance to the college and professional levels. The
Flint Jr. Generals play out of the Flint Iceland Arenas, located in
Flint, Michigan. League games are played from September
through March, with league play-offs offered for the top eight teams.
The four top play-off teams advance to the CSHL Junior Championship series,
and play for the coveted Hurster Cup. This year the play-offs will
be held in Dubuque, Iowa on March 19th-21st. The top two CSHL
teams then advance to the Junior A, Tier III championship series in
Boston, MA. The CSHL is made up of
twelve teams located in major cities in the Midwest.
